I really need to get serious about blogging.
But so much was happening during the period since I last posted that the blog hasn't been a priority. My mother's
health declined dramatically just after September of 2009 until she finally moved to heaven in early March of 2010. After
that it was a matter of dealing with life without her.
My mother's home going came barely nine
months after Elaine's mother's own move to heaven.
Now, the last surviving sibling in my mother's
family, Aunt Billie, made her own journey just a year and a month after Mama and about eight months after their baby sister,
Verlene, left the family.
It's mind-boggling to know we cousins are the older generation
in the family. Wasn't it just last week that we were all sleeping spread out through the house at Mamaw and Papaw's?
